Getting trapped in the hospital right when you start the game is annoying. Don't worry, here's the most straightforward solution.

The hospital computer password is 7845, enter it to unlock directly. Don't try anything else, just these four digits.

After getting the password, go to the nurses' station on the second floor, there's a window at the bottom right. Climb out and slide down the pipe, you'll land at the hospital back door. This won't trigger any alarm, it's the safest way.

To properly leave through the main entrance, you need a discharge certificate. This certificate is in the director's office safe, password is 0809. Show the certificate to the guard at the door, then he'll let you go.

1. Newbies are recommended to escape through the window directly, it's fast.

2. For those who want the complete story experience, go get the discharge certificate.

3. Don't force your way through the main gate, the guard will send you right back.

The second one is behind the dining room painting, investigate the painting to find a hidden compartment. The dining room is on the second floor, the room with the long table.

The third one is in the bedroom nightstand drawer, the drawer is locked, the key is on the Governor himself. You can stealth steal it, or wait for the Governor to go to the bathroom before taking it.

Return all three items to the NPC who gave the quest, the reward is a pistol and 20 bullets. This gun is very useful early game, recommended to get it.

There's a free medical kit in the pharmacy, remember to grab it. After exiting, walk along the fence, don't take the main road. There are three hidden items by the fence.

1. Next to the rusty iron gate there's a blue box with bullets inside.

2. Behind the trash bin there's a wine bottle, can be used to make Molotov cocktails.

3. There's a sleeping bag at the RV camp that can be used to save.

The target location is at the warehouse at the far west of the map, recommended to clear the dogs around it first. Dogs will bark and attract other enemies.

Junkyard Password and Treasure: Don't Leave Empty-Handed

There's an iron house in the junkyard with a password lock on the door. The password is randomly generated, but you can find clues nearby.

The password hint is on the junkyard manager's notes, which are on the table in the manager's hut. After obtaining it, open your backpack to read it, it will tell you the password is the current in-game date's month plus day.

For example, if in-game time shows October 15th, the password is 1015. Enter it to get inside, there's a rifle with 60 bullets inside, plus car repair tools.

There's a car in the southeast corner of the junkyard, use the repair tools to fix it and you can drive away. Driving to West Suburb is much faster, and you can run over enemies.

Velvet Hotel Sleep Mechanism: Recovery and Story

You can sleep once you enter the Velvet Hotel, but it's not free. You need a room card, which is at the hotel front desk.

There's no one at the front desk, just take it. After getting it, go to room 201 on the second floor, swipe the card to enter. There's an interaction prompt by the bed, press E to sleep.

Sleeping restores all health and stamina, and also lets you skip time. Some quests have time requirements, sleeping can fast-forward to the appropriate time period.

Note: Sleeping may randomly trigger story events, NPCs might knock on the door in the middle of the night. If you don't want this to happen, lock the door first, there's a door lock switch by the bed.
