The old walkthroughs floating around online are all for the original PS2 version, and they don't match the remake at all. The timeline's different, the events are different, even the affection calculation is different. Follow those outdated guides and you'll end up in the wrong route after dozens of hours of gameplay. I know that pain. This guide is based on hands-on testing with the PC Remake, starting from the底层机制 (underlying mechanics) of the affection system and walking you through all seven heroine routes step by step. Every critical choice is marked as mandatory or optional, ensuring you hit the True Ending in one shot.

Affection System Fully Explained
At the start of the game, all heroines begin at 0 affection. There are three ways to gain affection, listed in order of priority from highest to lowest.
1. Conversation Events (Primary Source)
Click on a heroine with a conversation icon on the map to access five topic options: Small Talk, Interests, Entertainment, Arts, and Romance. After selecting any topic for dialogue, the corresponding heroine gains +1 affection, plus experience points for that topic. This is the most stable method for grinding affection—if you want to pursue someone, talk to them every day.
Different heroines gain different amounts of experience from different topics. See the table below:

When experience points accumulate to 5, the topic reaches LV2 (Romance only needs 4 points). At 17 points, it reaches LV3 (Romance only needs 12). Some advanced dialogues require LV2 or LV3 to trigger.
2. Key Choices (Secondary Source)
Binary or triple choices during the story may add +1 or +2 additional affection. These are crucial for widening the affection gap—pick wrong and you might miss the ending entirely.
3. Fixed Events (Basically Useless)
Very few specific events add affection, such as birthday gifts giving a fixed +2. But the vast majority of fixed events don't add affection and only serve to advance the plot.
Two Situations Where Affection Decreases
First, making a date with any heroine other than Yuki and then canceling by phone costs -1 affection.
Second, when canceling a date with Yuki, choosing to apologize costs a fixed -1. Choosing to lie: if affection is 3+ for the first lie, 7+ for the second, 11+ for the third, or 16+ for the fourth, no affection is lost in these four cases. Otherwise, -1 affection.
Three Reasons a Heroine Might Not Appear
1. Multiple heroines are flagged for the same location—only the one with the highest affection appears. If affection is equal, priority order is: Yuki > Rina > Haruka > Misaki > Sayoko > Mana > Yayoi > Eiji > Sho.
2. You've talked to the same heroine too many times in a short period—you need to wait a few days or trigger a fixed event for them to reappear.
3. All conversations for the current location have been exhausted—you need to complete specific events or raise topic levels to unlock new dialogue.
Yuki Route: The 23-Point Road to the Main Heroine
Yuki is the official main heroine with the longest route, most events, and highest affection requirement. To reach her TRUE END, you need to accumulate 23 affection points and maintain the highest affection at key checkpoints.
